
Dan Carter is 33 years old. He was born and raised in Indiana where he graduated from Purdue University in 1995 with a B.S in Construction Management. He has worked as a wilderness canoe guide and sleddog trip guide in Boundary Waters Canoe Area, a white water rafting guide on the Colorado and Green Rivers in Colorado and Utah, a snowmobile guide in Yellowstone National Park and surrounding areas. He has guided scenic river trips on the Snake River in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He has raced sleddogs in almost every major race in the lower 48 states including the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sleddog Race in Wyoming and the Ataboy 300 World Cup in Oregon. He won the Grand Portage Passage Sleddog Race in Minnesota in 2003.
